Polish citizenship by descent: what determines whether you qualify
Polish citizenship passes through descent, not through birthplace. This principle is called jus sanguinis, the right of blood. If you have a documented ancestor, a parent, grandparent, or great-grandparent, who was a Polish citizen at the time the next person in the line was born, and that connection was never legally broken, you are very likely already a Polish citizen.
