Case preparation

How do I know if I qualify for Polish citizenship by descent?
If you have a direct ancestor (parent, grandparent, great-grandparent) who was a Polish citizen and the citizenship chain was never broken, you may already be a Polish citizen. The free eligibility check will give you a clear assessment of your specific situation.
How long does the entire process take?
Getting everything prepared usually takes a few months. Once we submit your application, it goes to the Mazovian Voivodeship Office in Warsaw (assuming you have never lived in Poland). Right now, in 2026, their processing time is around 18–24 months. Other Voivodeship Offices may process applications more quickly, but you can only apply through them if you previously resided in a Polish voivodeship other than Mazovia.
What if I don't have any Polish documents?
That’s common, especially for people whose families left Poland generations ago. If you don’t have any paperwork, I can handle the research for you. I regularly dig into Polish archives, local parishes and registry offices to find what we need. Many successful cases started with zero documents.
Can you handle my case if it's complicated or unclear?
Yes, I can. Many of the cases I handle are far from straightforward: missing documents, conflicting details in old records and gaps in family history, especially when ancestors left Poland before 1920. Cases like these require a lot of experience to analyze properly, and I gladly take them on. Before we dive in, I will give you an honest look at what we can realistically achieve. If there are any risks or hurdles, you will know about them right from the start.
Do I need to travel to Poland or speak Polish?
No, you don’t need to speak Polish or travel to Poland at any point. I handle everything locally on your behalf, including all communication with the government offices. The whole process is fully remote, meaning you can complete the process from wherever you live while I guide you through it from start to finish.
